Tony is a nationally recognized expert in valuation and provider total compensation. As a leader of ECG’s Valuation Services practice, he directs the fair market value (FMV) and commercial reasonable-ness (CR) review framework. His deep understanding of the regulatory environment allows him to support healthcare organizations in federal and state investigations as an expert in physician compensation and provide opinions for entities under corporate integrity agreements with the federal government.
Prior to joining ECG, Tony was a managing director at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (formerly Integrated Healthcare Strategies), where he led thought leadership and consulting services related to valuation; compensation program design, governance, and administration; and physician-hospital alignment strategies. Examples of his work include being the preferred FMV and CR consulting partner for the three largest nonprofit healthcare systems in the US; facilitating the physician and advanced practice provider compensation model redesign for St. Elizabeth Healthcare; providing more than 65 medical oncology-specific FMV and CR opinions for newly developed physician-hospital alignment models; and developing an operational improvement plan and governance structure for University of Minnesota Physicians and University of Minnesota Medical School.
